Apple and yuzu compote

【How to make】
① Cut the apples into chrysanthemum shapes.
② Cut the yuzu in half and squeeze out the juice.
③ Cut the yuzu peel into thin strips.
④ Put the apples and cane sugar in a pot, sprinkle the cane sugar all over the apples, place on medium heat, and simmer until the apples are just about to soften, then add the yuzu juice, water, and peel and simmer until the liquid thickens.
⑤ Place in a storage jar that has been sterilized with boiling water.

【Points】
This compote brings out the freshness of the apples with the addition of the bitter yuzu. It can be eaten as a snack on its own, or served with bread or yogurt.
