A special spring open day "Introduction to Imperial Court Culture" will be held from Wednesday, February 26th to Sunday, March 2nd, 2025 at the Kyoto Imperial Palace in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City. Normally held in late March, this year it will be held in February to coincide with the blossoming of the plum blossoms.

This time, there will be three plum blossom-themed cedar door paintings (=first public display), an exhibition of ox carriages (=first public display in three years), and an exhibition of costumes used in the enthronement ceremony (=first public display in five years). In the Shishinden Hall, you can view the Takamikura and Michodai used in the enthronement ceremony.
