At the Kyoto Prefectural Botanical Garden in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, 10,000 tulips are in full bloom. The pretty red, white, and yellow flowers sway in the breeze, delighting visitors.

In December 2024, the botanical garden planted 30,000 bulbs of 15 varieties in 10 locations within the garden. Currently, the area around the bulb garden near the Kitayamamon Gate is particularly in full bloom.
Visitors were happily taking commemorative photos in front of the colorful tulips that spread across the flower beds. There were some unusual varieties, such as the pink and yellow "Brushing Lady" and the double-flowered "Balk", and they were surprised, saying, "I didn't know there were tulips like this."
This year, the flowers bloomed in early April, about a week later than usual. They can be enjoyed until around April 25th.
