A collaboration project with the popular dollhouse series "Sylvanian Families" will begin on September 5th at "BOOK HOTEL Kyoto Kujo" in Higashikujo Karasuma-cho, Minami-ku, Kyoto City. The period is until October 31st.
The hotel is a 5-story hotel that opened in March 2024 and has 48 rooms (32 double rooms and 16 twin rooms). Managed by dot, a concept hotel management company in Tokyo.
Based on the concept of ``a hotel where you can enjoy books, entertainment, and reading that you can't help but read,'' the hotel has over 2,000 books. Each floor and guest room has a different theme, and guests can freely browse through the books in the building.
With the theme of "warmth" that is common to Sylvanian Families and BOOK HOTEL, this project is designed to let you enjoy your stay at the hotel and reading. Dioramas depicting the world of Sylvanian Families will be installed at the front desk, lobby, and on each floor of the building.
There are three collaboration rooms available exclusively for guests staying at the hotel. In addition to a diorama set up specifically for the guest room, guests will also receive an original book cover, set of bookmarks, and more as exclusive benefits.
Inside the building, there will also be merchandise sales and a cafe menu tailored to the collaboration. The merchandise sales and cafe menu are available to non-guests as well.
