As the mornings and evenings get colder, giving the feeling of deepening autumn, the rows of colorful ginkgo trees are at their best on Horikawa-dori street(Kamigyo Ward), which runs from north to south in Kyoto City. Illuminated by the soft autumn sunlight, it becomes more and more golden every day.

Approximately 70 ginkgo trees will be planted along the median strip between Shimei and Imadegawa for approximately 1 kilometer. Scattered leaves spread out like a yellow carpet underfoot, and passers-by stopped to take photos with their smartphones and enjoy themselves.

A 24-year-old man nearby who was walking his dog said, ''The colors started to change rapidly a few days ago.It varies depending on the location, but the gradation from green to yellow is beautiful.''
