強い冬型の気圧配置となった2025年12月3日の夜から12月4日の朝にかけて、京都府内や滋賀県内では北部を中心に降雪に見舞われ、各地で初雪を観測した。
京都市でも12月4日の未明に初雪を観測し、京都市左京区の貴船神社や鞍馬寺が雪化粧した。

A strong winter atmospheric pressure pattern occurred from the night of December 3rd, 2025, to the morning of December 4th, causing snowfall mainly in the northern parts of Kyoto and Shiga prefectures, with the first snowfall observed in various areas.
Kyoto City also observed its first snowfall in the early hours of December 4th, with Kifune Shrine and Kurama Temple in Kyoto City's Sakyo Ward covered in a blanket of snow.
