日本銀行京都支店は2023年5月29日、2024年度上期中に発行を予定する3種類の新紙幣を公開した。1万円札には日本の資本主義の父として知られる実業家の渋沢栄一の肖像を描いた。紙幣の刷新は2004年以来20年ぶりとなり、周知を図るために公開した。

On May 29, 2023, the Bank of Japan's Kyoto branch unveiled three types of new banknotes that it plans to issue during the first half of fiscal 2024. The 10,000-yen note features a portrait of Eiichi Shibusawa, a businessman known as the father of Japanese capitalism. It was the first time in 20 years since 2004 that banknotes were renewed, and it was made public to publicize it.
