The "Shimogamo Noryo Secondhand Book Festival,'' which is said to be one of the largest outdoor secondhand book markets, will be held from August 11 to 16 at Tadasu no Mori, Shimogamo Shrine in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto.

 

Sponsored by the Kyoto Old Book Study Group. Twenty-three second-hand bookstores in Kyoto City and nearby municipalities will participate in the event, offering a total of approximately 800,000 books ranging from paperbacks to art books and rare books. 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (until 4:00 p.m. on the last day).
