Small turnip…200 grams (2 pieces)
Dashi…250 grams
Sake…1 tablespoon
Mirin…1 tablespoon
Soy sauce…½ teaspoon
Salt…Appropriate amount
Mochi…2 pieces
Japanese parsley…Appropriate amount

【How to make】
①Peel the turnip and grate it.
②Heat the dashi in a pot over medium heat, add ①, sake, mirin, and soy sauce. When scum appears, skim it off and season with salt.
③Cut the mochi in half and toast on a wire rack until golden brown.
④Place ③ in a bowl, pour the warm ②, and garnish with Japanese parsley.

This is a light mochi that can be enjoyed with a pureed turnip soup flavored with dashi. Perfect for when you want to warm up your body.
