大阪管区気象台は2024年6月21日、近畿地方が梅雨入りしたとみられると発表した。平年（6月6日）より15日遅く、記録が残る1951年以降で3位タイの遅さだった。
京都市左京区では、通学の生徒・児童らが傘を差しながら学校へ向かう姿が見られた。

The Osaka Regional Meteorological Observatory announced on June 21, 2024 that the rainy season is likely to have begun in the Kinki region. It was 15 days later than the average (June 6), and tied for third-latest since records began in 1951.
