京都府舞鶴市の沖約10キロの若狭湾に浮かぶ「冠島」で2026年8月21～24日に「京都府の鳥」オオミズナギドリの生態調査が行われた。
年2回、春と夏の定期調査があり、舞鶴市の委託を受けた「冠島調査研究会」が半世紀以上続けている。オオミズナギドリを手づかみして識別用の足輪を付け、おおよその年齢や行動範囲を調べる。
冠島には、旧日本軍の戦争遺構もあり、日露戦争では海軍が見張り所を置いた。第2次世界大戦では陸軍が砲台設置を計画し、一部の施設を設けたという。

An ecological survey of the streaked shearwater—designated as the "bird of Kyoto Prefecture"—was conducted from August 21 to 24, 2026, on Kanmuri Island, located in Wakasa Bay approximately 10 kilometers off the coast of Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture.
This survey is part of a regular monitoring program held twice a year (in spring and summer) and has been carried out for over half a century by the Kanmuri Island Research Group, under contract with Maizuru City. Researchers catch the birds by hand to attach identification bands and gather data on their approximate ages and ranges of movement.

2026年8月21日至24日，京都府「府鳥」－白腹海鷗的生態調查在位於京都府舞鶴市海岸約10公里處若狹灣的冠島進行。
這項調查每年春夏兩季進行，由舞鶴市委託冠島調查協會開展，至今已持續半個多世紀。調查人員以人工捕捉的方式捕捉白腹海鷗，為其配戴辨識腳環，並確定其大致年齡和活動範圍。

연 2회, 봄과 여름의 정기 조사가 있어, 마이즈루시의 위탁을 받은 「관도 조사 연구회」가 반세기 이상 계속되고 있다. 늑대나무도리를 손으로 잡고 식별용 발바닥을 붙여 대략 연령과 행동범위를 조사한다.
