早咲きのハツミヨザクラが滋賀県大津市の皇子が丘公園で見頃を迎えている。琵琶湖や大津市内を望む高台で、濃いピンク色の花が桜シーズンの幕開けを告げるかのように咲き誇り、市民の目を楽しませている。
ハツミヨザクラは、カンヒザクラとケイオウザクラが交配した品種で、ソメイヨシノより半月ほど早く咲く。皇子が丘公園には1975年に約200本が植えられたが、寿命や倒木などで50本ほどになったという。（2024年3月14日撮影）

The early-blooming Hatsumiyozakura are at their peak at Ojigaoka Park in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. On a hill overlooking Lake Biwa and Otsu City, deep pink flowers bloom as if to herald the beginning of the cherry blossom season, delighting the eyes of citizens.
Hatsumiyoshikura is a hybrid of Kanhizakura and Keiozakura, and blooms about half a month earlier than Someiyoshino. Approximately 200 trees were planted in Ojigaoka Park in 1975, but due to longevity and falling trees, only about 50 were left. (Video shot on March 14, 2024)
