京都の花街、先斗町の秋の公演「水明会」が2023年10月19日、京都市中京区の先斗町歌舞練場で開幕する。芸舞妓たち40人が趣向の異なる古典5曲を披露する。10月17日、本番前の稽古が報道向けに公開された。

The autumn performance ''Suimeikai'' in Kyoto's red-light district, Pontocho, will open on October 19, 2023 at the Pontocho Kaburenjo in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City. 40 geisha and maiko perform five classical pieces with different tastes. On October 17th, rehearsals before the actual performance were released to the press.
