2024年2月23日に世界遺産の醍醐寺（京都市伏見区）で「餅上げ力奉納」が行われた。五大力さんとして親しまれる最大の年中行事「五大力尊仁王会」の一つ。力自慢の男女が参加し、無病息災や家内安全を祈願。男性は150キロ、女性は90キロの鏡餅の持ち上げに挑んだ。

On February 23, 2024, a ''Mochiage Power Dedication'' was held at Daigoji Temple (Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City), a world heritage site. One of the largest annual events, the ''Godairikison Nio-kai,'' which is affectionately known as the ''Godairiki-san.'' Men and women who are proud of their strength participate and pray for good health and the safety of their families. The men tried to lift a 150kg kagami mochi and the women tried to lift a 90kg kagami mochi.
