"Belgian Beer Weekend 2025 Kyoto," an event to enjoy Belgian beer, will be held from October 9th (Thursday) to 13th (Monday, national holiday), 2025, at Otosusan Square in front of Higashi Honganji Temple in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City. This popular event, which began in 2010, is now in its 16th year. This will be its first time being held in Kyoto.

Organized by the Belgian Beer Weekend Executive Committee, which is made up of authorized Belgian beer importers and distributors, 69 types of Belgian beer will be available at the venue in 13 categories. In a Kyoto-style event, with the cooperation of the Kyoto Confectionery Cooperative Association Youth Division, Japanese sweets from 13 stores will be sold and beer pairings will be suggested. Food items will also be available, including Belgian specialty fries, "frites," as well as roast beef and dumplings.

Belgian singer-songwriter Orlane will be visiting Japan to perform live in the evenings of October 10th and 11th, and there will also be a prize campaign.

The hours are from 4pm to 10pm on weekdays, 11am to 9pm on weekends, and until 8pm on the final day. The starter set (one original glass, 13 food and drink coins) costs 3,700 yen in advance (3,990 yen on the day), and the light drink set (one original glass, 8 coins) costs 2,700 yen in advance (2,840 yen on the day).
