Kyoto city has been continuing to call for donations for Kyiv so that it can purchase and ship cold-weather supplies to the Ukrainian capital amid Russia's ongoing invasion of the country.

At the end of last year, Kyoto used donations of roughly 4.5 million yen to purchase 500 emergency blankets and 5,000 disposable hand warmers, and sent them to Kyiv.
