To coincide with ''Giant Salamander Day'' on September 9th, the Sagano Trolley train that connects Kyoto City and Kameoka City along the Hozugawa River will be running for a limited time with a giant salamander wrapped in it. There is also a ``see-off'' by a giant salamander, which keeps passengers calm.

A collaboration project between Kyoto Aquarium (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City), which breeds giant salamanders, and Sagano Scenic Railway (Ukyo Ward), which operates trains. This year, the entire side of the vehicle has been wrapped in the image of a giant salamander swimming in the Hozu River. The illustrations of giant salamanders used to decorate the train cars and station premises were hand-drawn by Sagano Scenic Railway employees who are good at drawing.

In addition, a limited-time head mark was installed, and seven giant salamander stuffed animals of various sizes were placed on the ceiling of Car 1 and near the driver's seat.

Before the train departs, an employee appears on the Saga Torokko Station platform holding a 160cm long stuffed animal. Passengers were smiling as I waved through the window. The service will run until September 30th.
