Along the Kamo River, which runs from north to south in the eastern part of central Kyoto, the autumn leaves are starting to reach their peak.
A variety of deciduous trees are planted along the embankment of the Kamogawa River, which is a place of relaxation for Kyoto residents, and the area colors the four seasons: snowy scenery in winter, cherry blossoms in spring, fresh greenery in early summer, and colored leaves in autumn.
In particular, the row of cherry blossom trees on the left bank between Kitayama Ohashi Bridge and Kamigamo Bridge becomes a ''red band'' not only during the spring cherry blossom viewing season, but also during the autumn leaves season, and can be enjoyed with Mt. Daimonji in the background.
In addition, maple trees are planted here and there on the left bank from Sanjo Ohashi Bridge to Shijo Ohashi Bridge and Gojo Ohashi Bridge, and in late autumn, the red and yellow trees along with other deciduous trees decorate the riverside.
