The Nijo Castle Cherry Blossom Festival will begin on March 8, 2024 at Nijo Castle in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, where you can enjoy cherry blossom illuminations and projection mapping.

During the day, you can try your hand at making Kyoto's local sake, try making scented bags, and enjoy food and drinks in the kitchen car. Approximately 300 cherry trees will be illuminated at night, and the Karamon Gate and inner moat of the main enclosure will be decorated with cherry blossom-themed projection mapping. There will be a Kyoto specialty shop and an ikebana exhibition by Shogo Kariyazaki.
