The event "Taka Cafe Kotohi no Fureai Raptor Garden" by a family that moved from Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City to Amino-cho, Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture last spring will be held on April 7, 2024 in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture. The cafe, named ''Kotohi'', is located in a corner of the Murakami family's converted guesthouse. A peregrine falcon and a long-eared owl greet you through the glass, and there is a space where you can interact with the hawk "Luka" (2 years old, female).
Seiko Murakami (41), who runs a cafe, holds events once a month in various locations in the Tango area.
On this day, the children enjoyed petting the hawk's head and taking commemorative photos with the hawk as it spread its wings against the backdrop of cherry blossoms in full bloom.
