The "Classic Car Festival" where famous cars from yesteryear gathered was held on April 21, 2024 at Maizuru Akarenga Park in Kitasui, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. The 98 well-maintained cars stood out against the red brick building and attracted the attention of visitors.
Sponsored by Team Yamamoto (Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture), which is made up of enthusiasts, this is the 36th time. Owners from the Kanto region to the Chugoku region brought their beloved cars.
At the venue, there will be ''MGTC'' (1949), which has a distinctive retro appearance, ''BMW Isetta'' (1960), which you can get on and off from through the front door of the car, and ''Toyota Paprika'' (1967), which is used by three generations of parents and children. Cars with a sense of history and attachment were lined up. Visitors took photos with their smartphones and talked with the owners.
