【Materials】 (For 2 people)
Thinly sliced pork belly…100grams
Pumpkin…300grams
Soy sauce…2 tablespoons
Sugar…3 tablespoons
Mirin…3 tablespoons
Sake…3 tablespoons
Water…400cc
White spring onion…5cm length
Powdered Japnanese pepper(sansho)…to taste

【How to make】
①Cut the pork belly into 5cm lengths.
②Cut the pumpkin into bite-sized pieces and trim the edges.
③Slice the white onions very thin.
④Put water, soy sauce, sugar, mirin, and sake in a pot and bring to a boil.
⑤Add the pork and simmer, then add the pumpkin and simmer some more.
⑥Place ⑤ in a bowl, sprinkle with plenty of powdered Japanese pepper, and garnish with ③.
【Points】
Trimming the edges will prevent the pumpkin from falling apart. Thinly sliced pork belly is used so that it doesn't have to be simmered for long periods of time.
