ネコが描かれた浮世絵版画138点を紹介する展覧会「ごろごろまるまるネコづくし」が2026年4月4日から5月10日まで、京都市下京区の美術館「えき」KYOTOで開かれている。美人画の中に愛玩動物として描かれたネコや、恐怖の対象として表された「化け猫」など、さまざまな表現でネコの魅力や人との関わりを伝える。

An exhibition showcasing 138 ukiyo-e woodblock prints featuring cats, titled "Gorogoro Marumaru Nekozukushi" (Lounging Around and Rounding Up Cats), is being held at the Museum of Art "Eki" KYOTO in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto, from April 4th to May 10th, 2026. The exhibition conveys the charm of cats and their relationship with humans through various depictions, from cats portrayed as pets in portraits of beautiful women to "bakeneko" (monster cats) depicted as objects of terror.
