巨大な紅白の鏡餅を持ち上げて時間を競う「餅上げ力奉納」が2025年2月23日、京都市伏見区の世界遺産・醍醐寺であった。力自慢の参加者が歯を食いしばり、観客の前で懸命に餅を抱え上げた。

The "Mochiage Chikara Hounen," a competition to see who can lift a giant red and white Kagami mochi (rice cake) and see who can do it best, was held at the World Heritage site of Daigoji Temple in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City on February 23, 2025. Participants who boasted of their strength gritted their teeth and tried their best to lift the mochi in front of the audience.
