2025年12月20日の午前11時ごろ、京都府精華町祝園平田の近鉄京都線新祝園駅近くの踏切で、橿原神宮前行き特急電車と乗用車が衝突した。乗用車は京都行き急行電車の側面にも接触、乗用車の車体から出火した。近鉄や精華町消防本部によると、特急には約100人、急行には約480人が乗っていたが、けが人はいないという。

[Breaking News] At around 11:00 AM on December 20, 2025, a limited express train bound for Kashihara Jingu-mae collided with a passenger car at a railroad crossing near Shin-Hosono Station on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line in Hosono Hirata, Seika Town, Kyoto Prefecture.
