2025年12月20日の午前11時ごろ、京都府精華町祝園平田の近鉄京都線新祝園駅近くの踏切で、橿原神宮前行き特急電車と乗用車が衝突した。乗用車は京都行き急行電車の側面にも接触、乗用車の車体から出火した。近鉄や精華町消防本部によると、特急には約100人、急行には約480人が乗っていたが、けが人はいないという。

[Breaking News] At around 11:00 AM on December 20, 2025, a limited express train bound for Kashihara Jingu-mae collided with a passenger car at a railroad crossing near Shin-Hosono Station on the Kintetsu Kyoto Line in Hosono Hirata, Seika Town, Kyoto Prefecture. The passenger car also collided with the side of the Kyoto-bound express train, causing a fire to break out inside the passenger car. According to Kintetsu and the Seika Town Fire Department, there were approximately 100 people on the limited express and approximately 480 on the express, but no one was injured.
