On March 8, 2025, local children ran up 180 stone steps at Nagao Tenmangu Shrine in Daigo, Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City. Out of breath, the children competed to see who could run the fastest, to the cheers of their parents.

A nearby office worker (38 years old) called for the event, and 12 volunteers organized it for the first time, hoping to give the children an opportunity to get to know the local area and play outside. About 80 children and kindergarteners, mainly from the Daigo area, participated.
Participants first visited Nagao Tenmangu Shrine and learned etiquette from the chief priest. In the preliminary round, two children from each grade ran up the stone steps, and the top two advanced to the finals. Many parents gathered at the side of the steps, cheering on their children as they ran up the steps.
