"Tantan Kura Around in Seaside Kyoto 2025" (commonly known as Tankura), an event touring sake breweries in northern Kyoto Prefecture, will be held for two days on Saturday, May 24th and Saturday, May 31st, 2025, at nine breweries in Kyotango City, Fukuchiyama City, Ayabe City, Maizuru City, Miyazu City, and Yosano Town.
This is the successor to the "Tango Tenshu Festival" that was held until last year, and will feature tastings and sales of sake that each brewery has put their heart and soul into, brewery tours, local gourmet food, music performances, games, and more. At each brewery, visitors can enjoy new sake, aged sake, and secret sake straight from the brewery, and they can purchase their favorite sake.
The participating breweries and the dates are as follows:
Kyotango City: Kumano Sake Brewery (5/24) Kinoshita Sake Brewery
Yosano Town: Taniguchi Sake Brewery (5/24) Yosa Musume Sake Brewery (5/24)
Kyotango City: Shirasugi Sake Brewery (5/31)
Fukuchiyama City: Towa Sake Brewery
Ayabe City: Wakamiya Sake Brewery (5/31)
Maizuru City: Ikeda Sake Brewery
Miyazu City: Hakurei Sake Brewery (5/24 & 5/31 = 2 days)
In addition to a digital stamp rally and SNS photo contest, there will also be bus tours departing from Umeda, Osaka and Fukuchiyama. In addition, Kyoto Tango Railway One-Day Passes (for express trains) will also be on sale. The one-day pass costs 2,500 yen and includes a 1,000 yen tasting and meal voucher. Tickets can be purchased at Fukuchiyama, Nishi-Maizuru, Toyooka, Miyazu and Amanohashidate stations.
