A hydrangea garden has opened at Maizuru Natural Culture Park in Taneji, Maizuru City, Kyoto Prefecture. Visitors are enjoying the pale blue, purple, and white flowers that are in full bloom.
The hydrangea garden covers an area of about two hectares, and is popular for the view of the vivid flowers spreading out all over. Some people take commemorative photos with the flowers in the background. A woman (27 years old) who was visiting on a holiday from Kushiro City, Hokkaido, said, "The different types bloom in different ways, which is cute. I don't get a chance to see hydrangeas in Hokkaido, so it's fun."
According to the park, the flowers are expected to be at their best around June 20th.
Open from 9am to 5pm until June 30th (entry until 4pm). 500 yen for adults, 250 yen for elementary and junior high school students (free for preschoolers).
