During the summer, you can enjoy blueberry picking at a farm in Miyama Town, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture. The blueberries are grown without pesticides, and there's even an all-you-can-eat course where you can enjoy as many freshly picked blueberries as you like on the spot. The farm is popular with families on summer vacation.

The Miyama Rennyo Falls Tourist Blueberry Farm, located along the Yura River in Kubo, Miyama Town, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, has been cultivating and harvesting blueberries for about 20 years, with the aim of making them a local specialty.
According to owner Kiyotaka Shibuya (71 years old), roughly half of the visitors are repeat visitors. "The appeal is being able to eat freshly picked blueberries in a natural setting."
A 69-year-old woman visiting with her grandchildren from Kita Ward, Kyoto City, commented, "Since they're pesticide-free, it's safe for children." The children compared the sweet and sour berries hanging from each tree, telling each other, "This tree is the tastiest."
"We've come more than four times, and when we found a tree we liked, we picked the fruit," said the father, who was visiting with his son from Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, as he stood in front of a basket full of harvest.
There is an all-you-can-eat course (1,700 yen per adult) where you can eat on the spot, and a takeaway course where you buy by weight (600 yen entrance fee, 2,300 yen per kilogram).
Open until early September. 9am - 4pm. Irregular holidays. Reservations required.
