Every year on August 16th, the last day of Obon, Henjo-ji Temple near Hirosawa Pond holds a memorial service for the spirits of ancestors and those who died in the war.

 

Lanterns of five colors, including red, white, and blue, are floated from the boat. You can also see the torii shape of "Gozan Okuribi".

Hours are 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. One lantern is 1,000 yen (accepted until August 15).
