On August 27, 2023, an event was held at Kyoto Rurikei Onsen in Sonobe-cho, Nantan City, where elementary school students and junior high school students who belonged to the sports club in Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, interacted beyond competition. We worked up a sweat together through nature experiences and recreational activities, and made last memories of summer vacation.
The exchange event started last year, and this is the third time. A total of 25 students from the 5th year of elementary school to the 2nd year of junior high school from the basketball team "Little Giants" and the baseball team "Yagi Atoms" participated.
In the kayaking experience held on Lake Tsuten, different teams formed pairs and operated paddles. At first, the members were puzzled by the unfamiliar operation, but gradually got the hang of it, and energetic voices echoing in harmony on the lake.
Yuzuha Sugimori, 14, from the Little Giants, said with a smile, "We can't move forward without cooperation, so we naturally became good friends. It was a good memory."
There was also a mini-game competition and buggy experience.
