On September 3, 2023, the Yamabuki-kai, a women's mikoshi group, toured the area to coincide with the Hassaku Festival at Matsunoo Taisha Shrine (Nishikyo Ward, Kyoto City), where people pray for a bountiful harvest. Visitors were entertained by the cheerful appearance of the women carrying portable shrines in the precincts in the heat of midsummer.

Yamabuki-kai was established in 1998. In conjunction with the Hassaku Festival, women from all over the country, mainly from Kyoto, carry mikoshi and travel several kilometers back and forth from Matsunoo Taisha Shrine to Nonomiya Shrine (Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City).
During the September 3rd parade, there was a ''Funatogyo'' event in which the mikoshi was placed on a boat and crossed the river near Togetsukyo Bridge, and people on the riverbank pointed their cameras at it.
