On the premises of the sake brewery "Shirasugi Sake Brewery" in Omiya-cho, Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, a "dog run" where dogs can run freely has been set up, and it has become a place of relaxation for dog lovers. The store also has a shop that sells goods for dogs, and the store aims to be a ``wonderful sake brewery'' where both people and dogs can gather.

President Satoru Shirasugi (44 years old) heard from a fellow dog lover he met through social networking sites (SNS) that ``there aren't many places with dog runs,'' so he laid down artificial turf and surrounded the vacant lot with a fence. A dog run (660 square meters) has been opened.

The facility is rented out for a fee, and 20 to 30 people a month use it from inside and outside Kyotango City. The shop inside the sake brewery sells about 30 types of goods that dog lovers can enjoy, including dog collars, leashes, toys, treats, and clothing for walking.

President Shirasugi says, ``Currently, there are only a few cases where customers with dogs come to buy alcohol, but we would like to expand the connection between the local area and the sake brewery through dogs.''

Membership registration is required for the dog run (500 yen per dog per hour, 300 yen for second and subsequent dogs, 1,000 yen per group per hour for private use). Hours of operation are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday through Saturday, excluding holidays. For inquiries, please contact the brewery at +81-772-64-2101.
