Hotel Nikko Princess Kyoto (Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City) has renovated some of its guest rooms to make them more environmentally friendly. In addition to restoring and reusing the furniture that has been in use since the hotel opened, the rooms have been designed with the needs of overseas visitors in mind.
A total of 19 rooms on the 15th floor will be affected, and this is the first major renovation of a single floor since the building opened. Since a large amount of waste is an issue when renovating a typical guest room, the carved wooden beds, tables, and lighting fixtures were each individually restored to look like new.
In order to accommodate the preferences of visitors to Japan, we have increased the number of guest rooms such as the ``Hollywood Twin'' with beds placed close together. All bathrooms and toilets have been updated to improve functionality. A person in charge says, ``We want people to enjoy the classic furniture and space.'' Discount accommodation plans are on sale until October 31st. Rooms start from around 40,000 yen for two people.
