At the Kyoto Tamba/Kameoka Yume Cosmos Garden, which is located on the east side of the Kameoka Sports Park Gymnasium (Sokabe-cho, Kameoka City, Kyoto Prefecture), cosmos are nearing their peak bloom. A field of colorful flower petals sways in the wind, giving visitors a sense of the depths of autumn.

Sponsored by an executive committee made up of local residents, the event is now in its 24th year. Eight million cosmos of 20 different species grow in a 4.2 hectare field. Seven or eight of the flowers will be in bloom this weekend, and will be in full bloom by the end of next week.
Inside the park, you can see a wide variety of cosmos that are either deep or pale pink, with distinctive border-like colors, and multiple petals. A 68-year-old man from Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture, who comes here every year, said, ''It's rare to see such a large group of flowers growing in such a large area.It's great that each flower has a different face.'' was cutting.
