At Shinnyodo Temple, maples and ginkgo trees are planted mainly around the main hall and along the approach. Viewed from above, the temple grounds were decorated with bright red maple trees and golden ginkgo biloba, with Mt. Daimonji in the background.

Yoshijun Okumura, the 82-year-old head priest, said, ''The coloring has been delayed this year, so the best time to see them will probably be until early December.You can enter the shrine grounds freely, so I hope you can enjoy the autumn leaves.''
