According to the Meteorological Observatory, the rainy season front is stuck near the Kinki region, and Typhoon No. 2 is moving northward south of Japan, so rainy and cloudy days are expected to continue for the next week or so. Tokai, Chugoku, Shikoku, and northern Kyushu are also believed to have entered the rainy season on this day.
In the city of Kyoto, it rained intermittently from the morning, and on Oike-dori in Nakagyo Ward, the bright blue hydrangeas reflected in the rainy season sky.
The Kyoto and Hikone Local Meteorological Observatories said that rain would intensify from the night of the 29th to the morning of the 30th, and called attention to landslides and flood damage. The next 24-hour rainfall is expected to reach 100mm in the southern part and 80mm in the northern part until noon on the 30th in areas with a lot of rain in Kyoto Prefecture. Shiga Prefecture is 120 mm until 6 am on the 30th. The end of the rainy season in Kinki usually ends around July 19th.
