As temperatures drop, cosmos flowers have begun to bloom, heralding the arrival of autumn. Although they are about two weeks later than usual, some areas are almost in full bloom. Local residents visit the area and are fascinated by the flowers swaying in the autumn breeze.

Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture, commissioned the "Creating a Landscape of Cosmos Blooming" project to the Nagaokakyo City Farmers Association Liaison Council. The seeds were purchased in bulk and distributed to farmers. This year, 10 farmers are working together to cultivate the flowers in 15 locations, covering a total of about 109 ares.
A group of elderly people came to a field in Shimokaiinji, Nagaokakyo City, to enjoy cherry blossom viewing, saying "It's beautiful." A man who had been looking around the area to take photos commented, "This is the most beautiful place."
A person in charge of the Agriculture and Forestry Promotion Division said, "Due to the abnormally high temperatures again this year, we delayed sowing the seeds by about two weeks. The best time to see them will likely be around the end of October."
