Tenryuji Temple, a World Heritage Site in Kyoto City's Ukyo Ward, is said to have been changing color later than usual, but the cold weather this week has caused the approximately 300 maple trees planted in the temple grounds to turn a bright red.
At Sogenchi Garden, which uses Arashiyama as a backdrop, the trees around the pond show off a gradation of yellow and red, and visitors smiled as they took photos. It is expected that the scenery will be enjoyable until around December 8th.
