The growing chill is turning the trees red, and the scattered maple leaves look like a carpet. The leaves are turning red in the Tanba region of Kyoto Prefecture. At Ohno Dam Park in Miyama-cho, Nantan City, Kyoto Prefecture, about 500 trees are in full bloom, and the contrast with the blue water is eye-catching.

Ohno Dam Park and the surrounding prefectural roads are known as famous spots for viewing autumn leaves. The colors are changing a little later than usual, and are currently at their peak. Many tourists from inside and outside Kyoto Prefecture visit the park and stroll among the bright red trees.
The chairman of the local Ohno Promotion Association (68 years old) said, "We were worried about the colors due to the intense heat of the summer, but it hasn't affected them. The colors are beautiful." They say the peak is around November 24th.
