大名茶人・古田織部ゆかりの興聖寺（京都市上京区）は「市中の山居」という、街中にあって山居のようなたたずまいを目指し、境内の整備に取り組んでいる。秋が深まると、参道で120本以上のカエデなどが色づき、トンネルのようなアーチをかたどる。2024年11月9日から始まった秋の特別公開。参拝者は「『非日常空間』への入り口」（望月宏済住職）という木々のアーチをくぐり、境内へ誘われる。

Koshoji Temple (Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City), which is associated with the feudal tea master Furuta Oribe, is working on improving its grounds, aiming to create a "mountain retreat in the city" in the middle of the city. As autumn deepens, more than 120 maple trees and other plants on the approach to the temple turn color, forming a tunnel-like arch. A special autumn opening began on November 9, 2024. Visitors are invited into the temple grounds through an arch of trees that the head priest, Mochizuki Kosei, calls "an entrance to an extraordinary space."
