【2024祇園祭】祇園祭前祭（さきまつり）の山鉾巡行（7月17日）を前に2024年7月14日、宵山期間が始まった。「宵々々山」の7月14日は、時折小雨がぱらつく天気となったが、京都市内の中心部に「コンチキチン」のお囃子（はやし）の音が響き渡り、訪れた観光客らが祭りのムードを楽しんだ。
この日は前祭の宵山期間で唯一、四条通などの歩行者天国が実施されておらず、露店も出ていないため歩きやすく、ゆっくりと祇園祭の風情が楽しむ地元の人たちの姿も目立った。

The Yoiyama period began on July 14, 2024, ahead of the Gion Festival's pre-festival float procession (July 17). On July 14, the day of the Yoiyoiyoiyama, there was occasional light rain, but the sounds of the "Konchikichin" music echoed throughout central Kyoto, and tourists visiting the city enjoyed the festival atmosphere.
On this day, pedestrian zones such as Shijo Street were closed and there were no street stalls set up, making it easy to walk around, and local people were easily seen leisurely enjoying the atmosphere of the Gion Festival.
