京福電気鉄道（通称「嵐電」）は、京都市中京区の西院（さい）駅に隣接する軌道敷と四条通の交差部分に踏切遮断機を新設する。過去に車と電車が接触する事故が起きたことがあるため、安全性を高める。近く着工し、2024年3月末に運用を開始する。

Keifuku Electric Railway (commonly known as ''Randen'') will install a new level crossing barrier at the intersection of the track bed and Shijo Dori adjacent to Sai Station (Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City). Safety will be improved as there have been accidents in the past where cars and trains collided. Construction will begin soon and operations will begin at the end of March 2024.
