Snow Dondon Park, a snow play area that utilizes the slopes of a former ski resort in Kyotango Forest Park Swiss Village (Yaei-cho, Kyotango City) in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture, will be open to the public free of charge from February 8, 2025. Visitors can experience attractions (some of which are paid) such as the "Snowman Stacking Competition" and snow tubes, which are float-shaped sleds.
The event is organized by Egel (Ukyo-ku, Kyoto City), the designated manager of Swiss Village by Kyotango City.
The snowman-building competition is free to participate in, and the winner is the team that piles the most snow in a maximum of 75 minutes. Registrations will be accepted from 9:00 am to 10:00 am at the Swiss Village Visitor Center on a first-come, first-served basis (maximum of 5 people per group). The competition will take place from 10:15 am to 11:30 am, with the results announced at 1:00 pm.
