The annual Harvest Moon Banquet, a special event celebrating the arts, will be held at Shoryuji Castle Park (Shoryuji, Nagaokakyo City, Kyoto Prefecture), a replica of an ancient castle, from 6:00 PM on September 13, 2025. Performances of Japanese dance, shakuhachi, and shigin (recitation of poetry) will be held within the quaint grounds, giving a glimpse of autumn.

Sponsored by the Nagaokakyo City Cultural Association. This year marks the 34th anniversary of the event, which takes place in a setting associated with the Sengoku period warlord and cultural figure Hosokawa Fujitaka, his son Tadaoki, and Tadaoki's wife Tama (Hosokawa Gracia).

Eight other programs will also be available, including the Taishogoto, ocarina, Noh flute, folk songs, and shamisen. A tea ceremony will be held at the venue from around 5:00 PM.

Additionally, the venue will be lit up with lanterns made by children using milk cartons and bamboo lanterns. The event is free (450 yen for the tea ceremony). No reservations are required. The event will be canceled in the event of rain.
