The early-blooming Kawazu cherry trees planted near Sanjo Ohashi Bridge on the Kamo

River in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City, are now in full bloom. The deep pink blossoms, against the backdrop of the newly renovated Sanjo Ohashi Bridge with its prominent plain wooden railings, signal the arrival of spring.

Two Kawazu cherry trees are planted at the west end of Sanjo Ohashi Bridge. This year, the trees began to bloom in late February and blossomed rapidly in March, reaching full bloom as of March 8th.

Under the trees in full pink bloom, people could be seen enjoying cherry blossom viewing while eating takeout bread, and passing foreign tourists could be seen taking photos with their smartphones, exclaiming, "Wow, beautiful!"
