A specialty restaurant serving "temari sushi" (ball-shaped sushi) is opening in Shijo Horikawa, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City.
Umemori Honten (Nara City, Nara Prefecture), a sushi business based in Nara, is opening its first flagship store in Kyoto. The temari sushi specialty restaurant, "Sushi Kyoto Umemori," will have its grand opening on June 1, 2026, in Shijo Horikawa, Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City.
The restaurant will primarily offer course meals featuring colorful temari sushi. There will be two lunch menus and three dinner menus. The restaurant will have a total of 49 seats, including counter and table seating.
The restaurant will also serve tea from 2 PM to 5 PM. The "Umemori Sushi School Kyoto Branch" is also scheduled to open in July in the same building as the restaurant.
