The Yamahoko Junko parade of the Gion Matsuri Atomatsuri began on the 24th in central Kyoto. The 11 yamahoko floats, adorned with gorgeous hanging items, leisurely progressed along Miyakooji Street under the strong sunlight.

At 9:30 a.m., Hashi-Benkeizan, the leader of the "lottery-free" parade, which has a fixed order, departed from Oike-dori Karasuma in Nakagyo Ward.
Next is Mt. Minami Kannon. It will be the first time in 169 years since 1854 that the order of the parade will be 2nd. Since this year, Minami Kannonyama and Kita Kannonyama have decided to change the order of the 2nd and 6th parade every year without taking a lottery, so it was realized.
In the evening, there is a Kanko Festival, and three portable shrines leave the Shijo Otabisho (Shimogyo Ward) and return to Yasaka Shrine (Higashiyama Ward) at midnight for the first time in four years.
