The Mid-Autumn Moon (Juugoya) is a custom that spread from Kyoto during the Heian period. On the night of the 15th day of the 8th month of the lunar calendar (29th September this year), people celebrated the most beautiful moon of the year with love. This "Moon-viewing Banquet" will be reproduced in a contemporary style at Heian Jingu Shrine in Okazaki, Sakyo-ku, Kyoto City, and a special live performance by gorgeous artists will be held against the backdrop of the illuminated Daigokuden.
