A special autumn night viewing will begin on October 21, 2023 at Kodaiji Temple in Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City. In preparation for the 400th anniversary of the death of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's legal wife Nene (Kitamandokoro) in 2024, projection mapping that combines light and sound will be displayed on the front garden of the Hojo, "Hashin", to help people remember her feelings. The event takes place in the garden.

Last year, Kodaiji Temple refurbished its equipment in preparation for a distant death. The theme of this production is ``scenery,'' and a 3-minute video of a green bamboo forest, maple trees, and water drops hitting the surface of the water will be projected onto the white sand in the front garden and the Imperial Gate. By overlaying the flickering of LED bulbs and the sounds from multiple speakers, it is said to express the depth of Nene's heart and her thoughts as she searched for a way to live after Hideyoshi's death.

The test light was lit on the night of October 19th, and Kodaiji Temple's head priest, Yoshinaka Okumura, said, ``I want you to feel the changes in her seasons and life, and look into your own heart.''
Garyochi Pond and the bamboo grove will also be illuminated during nighttime viewing. Applications accepted from 5pm to 9:30pm until December 10th. An admission fee is required for junior high school students and above. During the same period, the sub-temple and Entoku-in Temple are also scheduled to be illuminated.
